The SCHENKER DTR 17 derives its decisive performance advantage with the use of desktop CPUs from Intel’s current 11th Core generation (Rocket Lake) via a well-equipped Socket 1200 mainboard with the Intel Z590 chipset. The new top model Core i9-11900K offers 8 cores, 16 threads and performs its work at the full specified TDP of 125 watts. Unlike regular mobile processors, the desktop version also supports AVX-512, an instruction set that enables significant acceleration of computing processes in application areas such as AI and deep learning, encryption and data compression, 3D modelling and multimedia workload processing.
GeForce in MXM format: RTX 30 series with fine tuning
Special NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards in MXM plug-in card format give the SCHENKER DTR 17 a further speed advantage over conventional laptops. The maximum configuration level comes up trumps with an RTX 3080 including an impressive 16 GB GDDR6 memory, groundbreaking ray tracing capabilities and improved tensor computing units. This top of the range model runs in the DTR 17 with an increased TDP of up to 165 watts, while classic laptop GPUs are limited to a maximum value of 150 watts. GPU connectivity is via 16 lanes of the latest PCI Express 4.0 standard.

In terms of connectivity, the SCHENKER DTR 17 makes no compromises – eliminating the need to fiddle with cumbersome adapters. In addition to modern USB-C 3.2 Gen2, the desktop replacement laptop is equipped with three USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, a fast full-format SD card reader connected via UHS-III, a microphone input and headphone output. The latter is fully headset-compatible and eliminates the need for an additional audio splitter. In professional working environments, the simultaneous use of multiple monitors is one of the key enablers for increasing productivity. The SCHENKER DTR 17 is capable of simultaneously driving up to three external monitors in addition to its internal display. For this purpose, the laptop is equipped with an HDMI 2.1 connection and two G-SYNC-compatible DisplayPorts 1.4a.
